Cruelty Free...Always Have Been!!!
|
-
At TaUT we are
proud to maintain a line of products that are cruelty free. We
are pleased to be a member of PETA and have been for many years.
We support the concepts and philosophy of "No Animal Cruelty"
in our products and those we offer from other manufacturers.

But our greatest
pride is in our many employees that are actively involved in
various aspects of protecting abused and neglected animals. Most
everyone has pets, but many of our employees have taken the next
step in assisting with pet adoption facilities and foster care
of abandoned, abused and unwanted animals. We want to take this
opportunity to share a few of these stories with you. iphone app laten maken

This is a picture of Lilly and her 9 puppies.
Several of us had the opportunity to be with her this past October
27, 2002 while she gave birth. She started around 3:30 in the
afternoon and had the last of the litter at 11:10 that night.
3 males and 6 females, all healthy and not one loss in the bunch.
Lilly was found wandering the streets and ended up in the local
pound. She was rescued and put in a foster home with one of our
employees. Shortly after coming into foster care she went into
labor and surprised everyone with nine black puppies from a yellow
lab. Lilly now has a permanent home waiting for her. She will
stay in the foster care program until all her puppies are weaned
and able to go to their permanent homes. Since she is still with
one of our employees we will keep you updated with additional
pictures as the puppies grow.

These pictures are of Sassy whose name
fits. She was found under a bush in a park and was only about
3 weeks old. Filled with ticks, no one expected her to survive.
Yet here she is at 10 weeks old, healthy, happy and waiting for
her permanent home. According to the vet and groomer, (she just
got her first formal bath), Sassy is a Sheppard and husky mix.
She should be a big girl!

And here is Wishbone. Wishbone came to
the foster care program at about 4 weeks in age. A Rotweiller
mix with a wishbone white mark on his nose and covered in fleas.
He is now a very healthy pup and is living with his new permanent
family on a yacht. He is obviously luckier than most of us. A
yacht for a home and a couple that love him dearly.

Not all our employees stick to dogs. One
of them took in a litter of feral kittens that were about 4 weeks
old when their wild cat mother deserted them. Mad, mean and angry
were these demons during the first few days. Yet with love, care
and a great deal of kindness all 4 were eventually placed in
permanent homes where they have all become sweet and gentle.

Here is another bunch of puppies that came
to the foster care program with one of our staff. These little
Chihuahua puppies and their mommy were rescued and placed with
our staff member until all four of them had wonderful permanent
homes. The mommy got to go to the same home as one of her puppies
and we will soon have updated pictures for you. They have a very
special home.

These are only a few of the stories
we could share. There have been many and some of those include
wild 3 week old cotton tail rabbits that were rescued from the
jaws of a cat and raised until they could be released back to
the wild. There have been many baby birds saved and turned over
to bird sanctuaries where they were fed, raised and released
back into their natural habitat.
There are thousands of unwanted
and abused animals in our country. We are proud to have our employees
be a small part in helping out in this situation. We hope that
if you have the time, energy and devotion to saving a part of
nature, you too, will join with a group in your local area and
take part in saving one of these lovable animals and help them
find a home in which they feel safe and loved. It is a very rewarding
experience that we are sure you will enjoy.
And remember, spay or neuter your
pets!
